Join a high-performing orthopedic trauma team at a busy Level II Trauma Center in Beaumont, located just one hour east of Houston. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work alongside skilled orthopedic trauma surgeons in a high-acuity environment managing a broad spectrum of orthopedic injuries.
The program treats complex orthopedic trauma cases including pelvis and acetabular fractures, bread-and-butter hand injuries, and routine pediatric fractures. Providers will enjoy a collaborative team atmosphere, excellent support, and a predictable schedule with no after-hours call responsibilities.
Position Highlights
Practice at a busy Level II Trauma Center
High-acuity orthopedic trauma service
Exposure to:
Pelvis and acetabular trauma
General orthopedic trauma
Hand injuries
Routine pediatric fractures
APP coverage on-site daily from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
10-hour shifts
Full-time schedule consists of 175 shifts annually
No after-hours call responsibilities
Collaborative surgical and inpatient care environment
Responsibilities
Round with the on-call orthopedic trauma surgeon
Evaluate and manage new consults
Assist in the operating room
Participate in inpatient orthopedic trauma care
Coordinate patient management with multidisciplinary teams
Compensation & Benefits
Annual compensation of $140,000
Additional shifts compensated at $800 per shift

Qualifications
Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Orthopedic or surgical experience preferred
Trauma experience strongly preferred
Comfortable assisting in the operating room and managing inpatient orthopedic patients
Strong teamwork and communication skills
